Good Morning Friends!!

Yesterday, I was mowing, and the wind was blowing at about 90 mph (not really, just felt like it).  Kim joked that she thought she would look outside and see me turned over on the riding mower, which was blowing so hard.

I had to stay focused on my mowing lines to keep going straight. Dirt blew in my eyes as I mowed, and the grass flew around from the mower. Sometimes, the wind was blowing so hard that it was hard to even take a breath.

How many times do we try to keep things going in life in a straight direction when the winds of life pick up, and before we know it, 90 mph winds have hit our life?

The winds make it hard to see our straight line.

The dirt of life blowing around gets in our eyes, making it hard to see our straight line.

The wind stirs up things around us to get us sidetracked to stray off our straight line.

As I mowed, I worked hard to ignore all those things blowing around me and focused on the line in the grass to follow.  One pass, two, three passes, until I was done mowing. My only focus was on the line directly in front of me.  Focusing on the line directly in front of me, I could finish all my mowing with nice straight lines.

No matter what life blows around us, my challenge to each of us is to focus on the line in front of us.  When we focus on the line in front of us, the line we are meant to follow, one week, one month, one year passes, and we can look back to say we withstood the winds to follow the line.

Stay the course.

Your Friend,

Aaron
