Last week I received a notice on my phone that a new update was available for my phone and waiting for me to click a button so the update could begin. Like most of the time when an update comes along I wait a few days or so to see if anyone might have had trouble with the phone update. I waited, no issues, so I pushed the button to update my phone. A few things noticeable changed but no real big changes.
What if we receive a notice every now and then to update ourselves?
Would we wait to see if anyone else had done the update and had any issues?
The update might have included some different ways of thinking, acting, responding, caring, setting goals, and maybe even character updates.
Those are some big areas that need updates, and I am sure many of us, like me, would wait to see how the update went with others before we pushed the button to update ourselves. We are vastly different from the phone because we are all made a little different, and each update affects us in different ways.
My challenge to each of us is to constantly evaluate ourselves and to always be asking the question if an update is needed and in what area. I tend to believe that if we are being honest with ourselves we could also use an update from time to time. Like my last update on my phone we may see some noticeable changes and some changes that go unnoticed at the time.
When it comes to our personal update don’t wait around to see what others do. Be accountable for you and decide the version you want to be.
