“If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” – Wayne Dyer

Have you ever watched the movie “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids”?

In the movie, a dad is trying an experiment and as things usually go the kids were messing around with the machine when they shouldn’t have been. The kids ended up shrinking themselves to smaller than an ant. The movie shows the kid’s perspective trying to get back to the house from the yard and the dad’s perspective looking for them.

The yard and the house were exactly the same but looked much different from the kid’s perspective and their dad’s perspective.

Everything we see is based on our perspective and current position that we are viewing from. Oftentimes when we want, or need change we need to begin looking at those things in our life from a different perspective. We may look at circumstances in our life and decide are we going to charge ahead or retreat into fear. Same circumstance but two different responses.

I challenge each of us this week to look at our circumstances from our current perspective and look at some other solutions from an alternative perspective. Will the alternative perspective be a better one, we won’t know until we take a look through a different lens.

Just like at the eye doctor…Is one or two better? Two or three?
