The Farmer & The Soil
Good Morning Friends!!
In Earl Nightingale’s “The Strangest Secret” he talks about a field and what is planted in the field. The interesting thing about the field is that it does not care what is planted in the soil. Whatever is planted in the soil and tended to will grow. If a farmer were to plant corn in the field and took care of the corn the corn would grow. If a farmer planted poison in the soil and took care of the poison the poison would grow.
Our mind is the soil. Our mind does not care what we plant.
If we plant poison in our mind our mind will produce poison in the form of self doubt, negativity, low self esteem, anger, resentment, hatred, and some many other poisons.
If we plant a crop in our mind that will feed us in a healthy manner our mind will produce happiness, strength, positivity, joy, understanding, compassion, and some many other healthy mental crops.
We plant in our soil on a daily basis and tend to our crop on a daily basis. I challenge you to be mindful of what you are planting in your soil because, remember, your soil does not care what is being planted.
We plant and care for our soil by what we watch, what we read, the people we interact with, the words we say, the things we listen to, and the environment we allow ourselves to be in.
Are you producing poison or a healthy crop? The farmer decides what goes into the soil and the soil will return what is planted.
Your Friend,
Aaron
