We all love a good movie with a hero—you know, the one who comes in, saves the day, and makes everything better.
Sometimes I’m mowing the yard… waiting for a hero to come save me from all the mowing.
Sometimes I’m working out… waiting for a hero to come in and take over the work.
Sometimes I’m running my business… waiting for a hero to rescue me from the frustrations.
Sometimes I just want to rest… and I’m waiting for a hero to come and take it all away.
I may be different than others, but my life isn’t anything like a movie.
I keep waiting for the hero to show up—to save the day, the week, the year…
And nothing.
No hero in sight.
So what am I trying to say?
The same thing I have to remind myself of all the time…
Stop waiting for the hero.
Keep mowing the yard.
Keep working out.
Keep taking one step at a time in your business.
And be bold enough to rest when rest is needed.
Because the truth is, each of us already has a hero.
We have a hero within us that says:
Keep doing the work—there will be satisfaction when it’s done.
Keep being consistent—that’s your character.
Keep taking care of yourself—you are valuable.
The challenge for each of us is to recognize that hero within.
Stop waiting for your hero…
Because you are the hero you’ve been waiting for.
