November 1, 2024, was the day I closed the doors on Synergy Fitness, my business of 13 years. Over the years, Synergy Fitness taught me many lessons about myself, about business, about other people, and so much more.

When news of Synergy Fitness’s upcoming closure started spreading in mid-July, many people told me they were sorry my business was closing.  I would respond with a thank you, but no sorries are necessary. This was a planned closure to reorganize my business in a manner that better suited me, my family, and my clients.

Leading up to July and the decision to close Synergy, Kim and I had many discussions about all the what-ifs. We decided to close Synergy and open M2B Fitness, specializing in women’s fitness and focusing on downsizing our space.

To say there was fear would be an understatement. Fear of the unknown, fear of changing how we have done business for the last thirteen years, fear of failing, and fears could fill this page.  All the fears could hold us back and keep us in the comfort of the known.

With all those fears, we stepped out in faith to transition our business to a manner better suited for my training clients and us.

Often, we stay in comfort even though we want change because we fear the unknown.

I challenge each of us to take a step out of our comfort zone to see what is possible. If we don’t take the opportunity to step out of our comfort zone, we may miss the great things in store because we choose fear over faith.

Sometimes, doors close so other doors can open.  Doors are opening and closing every day.

Will you allow a door to shut so that another unique door with great opportunity will open, allowing you to walk through it into your greatness?

Aaron
