A couple of weeks ago, M2B Fitness hosted an All-Star Carnival.

A different kind of carnival than you’re probably thinking.

Our All-Star Carnival was for those 60 years old and older. We had fun games geared specifically for that age group—games that could be played standing up or sitting down. We had all the classic carnival food: popcorn, cotton candy, nachos, and even some pimento cheese sandwiches.

Each game booth was decorated with its own theme, creating a fun, festive atmosphere.

And the best part?

The entire event was completely free for our 60+ community.

Before the event, someone asked me what we were raising money for.

I kind of laughed and said, “Nothing—it’s free. We’re not raising money for anything.”

They looked at me a little puzzled, like, then why put on an event like this?

I added, “Because it’s a good thing to do.”

And I think sometimes we forget that as we get older, we still like to have fun. We wanted to create something that reminded our older community that it’s okay to be a kid again sometimes.

All of our ladies at M2B Fitness put a lot of time, energy, and even their own money into making the All-Star Carnival happen.

Why would they do that?

Because, just like me, they wanted to give back. They wanted to do something good for others—expecting nothing in return except maybe a smile on someone else’s face.

My challenge to each of us is this:

What can you do for someone else… simply because it’s a good thing to do?

Because sometimes, the right thing to do doesn’t come with recognition, reward, or return.

It just comes with impact.
