Good Morning Friends!!
Did you learn anything new in the last seven days?
No, I don’t mean the lastest gossip.
I mean genuinely learn something new, like a skill, knowledge, a strategy, a new way of doing something, just something new?
I am hoping each of you said yes.
Just because early in our lives we stop growing physically, such as getting taller, doesn’t mean we need to stop growing mentally. To continue to grow mentally throughout our life we must challenge ourselves to be constantly learning new things and forming new ideas.
You may be like me and not really put much conscious thought into what you have learned or what you may be learning. In the last few years I have tried to make myself abundantly aware if I was in a state of learning or a flat line state of just repeating the same things learned over and over.
No matter our age, just as we must daily exercise our bodies, we must also daily exercise our minds. We must push our minds to take in new information that at first may be challenging to process but will become stronger by processing the new information.
My challenge to each of us this week is to learn something new, that is not gossip, each day this coming week. Make it your daily intention to push your brain to think and process new thoughts and ideas. Just as our bodies begin to adapt to new stresses such as exercise, so will our minds adapt to become stronger at new thoughts and ideas.
As a man thinketh so is he…
Your Friend,
Aaron
